Activity Report 2025 - Operations

The operations team manages the provisioning and maintenance of the various servers and services Libera.Chat uses to provide IRC chat services. We keep the servers running, configured, and updated. Libera.Chat is made possible by a wide variety of free and open-source software.

Team Organisation

This year the team didn’t change size, but did lose a member due to a staff resignation and gain another thanks to recruitment.

Activity

This year our focus has been on the continued support of the engineering team efforts by ensuring deployments of improvements to Solanum. We have also secured a new public-facing sponsor and continued our ongoing efforts to improve our Puppet and other configuration management systems.
